NIA discovery workshop
With Chantal and Micheline Collier
Nia discovery workshop
Thursday, April 18, from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM with Chantal and Micheline Collie
Nia draws inspiration from dance, martial arts, and body awareness. It originated in the United States in the 1980s.
Nia alternates choreography and free-form dancing to enjoyable, stimulating, and soothing music, promoting harmony between the body and the mind.
Focused on listening to one's body and sensations, Nia is unique and allows for adapting the practice based on individual abilities and current motivation.
Energetic and playful, Nia is accessible to everyone—regardless of age, athletic background, and for those with permanent or temporary motor impairments.
Nia is about taking pleasure in moving while being connected to oneself.
As part of our thematic year 'Dance and Cancer,' the proceeds from this event will be dedicated to funding workshops for individuals affected by cancer. Your participation will directly contribute to the realization of these meaningful projects.
If you wish to support our initiative, you can make a donation. Every contribution matters and makes a difference in our commitment to the community, combining the benefits of dance with the fight against cancer.
