Workshop «Dance and Parkinson's disease»
A professional development workshop co-presented by Care to Dance - Kinésiphilia, Mosa Ballet School, and Mark Morris Dance Group/Dance for PD.
Join David Leventhal (Dance for PD | USA) and Maïté Guérin (Care to Dance - Kinésiphilia | Belgium) at Mosa Ballet School in Liège, Belgium for a two-day workshop that explores the art and craft of Parkinson's dance teaching and builds on content covered in introductory training.
In this interactive, fully embodied workshop, David and Maïté will explore activity design that harnesses participants’ creative potential, accessible and inclusive approaches to choreographic repertory and improvisation, and embedding deep musicality into your teaching artistry.
During this workshop, you will:
- Hone your skills and expand your creative toolkit
- Exchange activities and exercises with other Dance for Parkinson’s instructors
- Infuse your teaching practice with new ideas
This workshop is worth 16 credits in the Dance for PD training system, and helps teaching artists earn credits toward eligibility for certification.
